Durban – Authorities are seeking public assistance following a burglary attempt at Mbonisweni Primary School in Hambanathi, KwaZulu-Natal.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) reported that during the early hours of Tuesday morning, two unidentified men were captured on CCTV footage attempting to gain entry into the school’s office area.
“The suspects fled empty-handed after being disturbed,” RUSA said, adding that the burglars are believed to be linked to a previous break-in at the school.
In July 2025, Mbonisweni Primary was targeted by burglars who stole forty tablets used for technology studies, eight laptops, and a desktop computer.
RUSA has urged anyone with information regarding the suspects in the CCTV footage to come forward.
“Public assistance is required to identify the suspects seen in the CCTV footage,” the organisation said. Anyone with information is asked to contact RUSA on 086 1234 333.
