Walk home turns deadly — Sons, 6 and 10 killed, pregnant mom critical

Amatikulu, KwaZulu-Natal — A devastating road tragedy unfolded on Wednesday afternoon when a pregnant woman and her two sons were struck by a vehicle on the N2 near Amatikulu, north of KwaDukuza.

Emergency responders from IPSS Medical Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported.

According to IPSS, the woman and her two children were walking home when they were hit by the vehicle.

Tragically, both boys, aged 6 and 10, sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene.

Their mother, who is pregnant, sustained critical injuries and was stabilised on site by advanced life support paramedics before being transported to hospital for urgent medical care.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victims.

The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
