Polokwane – A 17-year-old girl is set to appear in the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 10 November 2025, facing a charge of attempted murder following a violent incident in Denstaat village under the Alldays policing area.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the incident occurred on Friday, 7 November 2025, at approximately 21:00.
“It is alleged that the 20-year-old female victim was asleep when the suspect woke her up and confronted her about photographs she allegedly found on her boyfriend’s cellphone,” said Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, spokesperson for SAPS Limpopo.
During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly poured hot water over the victim and struck her several times on the head and face with a bottle.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Police responded promptly to the scene.
“The suspect was swiftly arrested shortly thereafter,” Colonel Ledwaba said. “A case of attempted murder was opened, and police investigations are continuing.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
