Polokwane – Police in Malamulele have arrested a suspect following an intelligence-led operation targeting drug dealers in the area.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, members of the Giyani and Malamulele Community Service Centres (CSC), together with detectives, conducted the operation on Friday, 15 August 2025, in Jerome village.
“The team was led to the Malamulele B2 section, where a blue Toyota Corolla, displaying only a rear registration plate and missing its front windscreen, was intercepted,” Brigadier Mashaba said.

Officers identified themselves and requested permission to search the vehicle, which was granted. During the search, six plastic packages containing crystal meth, valued at approximately R420.00, were discovered hidden inside socks.
“The suspect admitted to selling drugs in the Malamulele area and was subsequently arrested,” Mashaba added.
The accused is expected to appear before the Malamulele Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 18 August 2025. Police investigations are ongoing.
