Cape Town – The South African Police Service (SAPS) is investigating three separate double murders in Kraaifontein, Western Cape, all occurring on Tuesday night.
The incidents left six people dead and at least one injured.
According to Sergeant Wesley Twigg, spokesperson for the SAPS Western Cape, the first shooting occurred at around 23:30 in Molefe Street, Wallacedene, where two females, aged 19 and 25, were fatally shot and a third victim, 24, sustained injuries.
“Police members attended the scene and found the victims with gunshot wounds. The two women were declared deceased on the scene, while the third victim was rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment,” Twigg said.
Just ten minutes later, at approximately 23:40, police responded to another shooting in Taleman Street, Wallacedene.

“Upon arrival, officers found two females in their twenties shot inside a bedroom. Both were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel,” Twigg confirmed.
Authorities have not ruled out a connection between the two Wallacedene shootings.
In a separate and unrelated incident earlier that evening at around 21:50, police discovered the bodies of two males, aged 20 and 22, at the corner of 9th Avenue and Verster Street, Eikendal.
“Both victims sustained gunshot wounds and were declared deceased on the scene. The suspects fled and are still at large,” Twigg said.
SAPS has launched investigations into all three double murders.
“The motives for these attacks are currently unknown and form part of our ongoing investigations. We urge anyone with information to come forward,” Twigg added.
No arrests have been made so far, and police continue to urge the community to remain vigilant.
