Springbok – Four undocumented foreign nationals were arrested during a roadblock operation conducted by the South African Police Service in Springbok as part of #OperationPaseka.
Police said the operation took place on the N7 at Bulletrap on Friday, 27 March 2026, between 08:00 and 10:00.
“Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Springbok conducted a roadblock operation on the N7 at Bulletrap on Friday, 27 March 2026, between 08:00 and 10:00, as part of the operational actions of #OperationPaseka,” SAPS said.
During the operation, officers detained two women and two men, aged between 26 and 40, for allegedly contravening the Immigration Act.
“During the operation, two females and two male foreign undocumented nationals, aged between 26 and 40 respectively, were detained for contravening the Immigration Act (Act 13 of 2002),” the statement read.
Police said the individuals were discovered during vehicle searches at the roadblock.
“During the search of vehicles, members discovered two of the foreign nationals in taxis, while the other two were travelling in a Toyota Hilux bakkie,” SAPS said.
The four individuals were unable to produce valid documentation at the time.
“The four were unable to produce the required documentation and were handed over to Home Affairs officials for further processing,” police said.
Following verification, the suspects were formally arrested and detained.
“Following confirmation, they were subsequently arrested and detained and are scheduled to appear in court on Monday, 30 March 2026,” SAPS added.
