Cape Town – Police in Cape Town are investigating the murder of alleged underworld figure Andre Naudé, who was gunned down in Parow on Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, Naudé was declared dead at the scene after being gunned down by occupants of a vehicle that pulled up next to him while he was with friends.
A 61-year-old man was also wounded in the attack and taken to hospital, while two other men escaped injury.
No arrests had been made immediately after the incident, and the motive remains under investigation by the Anti-Gang Unit.
“According to reports from the scene, at approximately 14:40 on Voortrekker Road, a vehicle pulled up next to the deceased, who was in the company of friends, and the occupants of the vehicle fired several shots,” police spokesperson Captain Frederick Van Wyk said.

“As a consequence, a 55-year-old man was killed and a 61-year-old man was wounded. Two other males aged 45 and 54 escaped injury,” Van Wyk said.
The suspects fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.
