Polokwane – A 27-year-old woman has been arrested following an arson incident that left a house in ruins in the early hours of Friday morning in Steve Biko, Phase 4, under the Villa Nora policing area.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the suspect allegedly set fire to her ex-boyfriend’s home after he refused to open the door for her at around 5am on 25 July 2025.
According to police reports, the man was asleep when his former partner arrived at his residence and knocked on the door. When he did not respond, she reportedly began breaking the windows. He then ran to seek help from neighbours — but by the time he returned, his house was already engulfed in flames.
