Johannesburg – A tree reportedly set alight collapsed onto a vehicle at the intersection of St Peter Road and Sharp Street in Yeoville on Monday, authorities said.
The base of the tree had weakened, causing it to fall onto the parked vehicle.
Emergency response teams confirmed that no injuries were reported.

Members of Vision Tactical were on the scene securing the area, and motorists were advised to avoid the intersection while the site was cleared.
The cause of the fire that allegedly weakened the tree is under investigation.
