Durban – A family dog sustained injuries after being attacked by two Pitbulls that entered a private property on High Street in Grangetown, KwaZulu-Natal, on Friday morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to an emergency call at approximately 10:17.
“Upon arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the injured dog seeking refuge under a vehicle, while the two Pitbulls continued their aggressive attempts to reach it,” RUSA said in a statement.
The owner of the Pitbulls was located shortly after the incident and arrived on the scene to remove the animals.
It was confirmed that the dogs had escaped from his business premises, also located on High Street.
The injured pet was been taken to a veterinary clinic for treatment.
Authorities have not yet indicated whether any further action will be taken against the Pitbulls’ owner.
