Cape Town – The Patriotic Alliance (PA) has filed a criminal complaint and served a legal letter to the creators of the Open Chats podcast for making offensive remarks about the coloured community, including calling them “crazy” and alleging incestuous behaviour.
Speaking on social media, PA leader Gayton McKenzie stated that while the party does not seek to destroy the podcast hosts, failing to act would perpetuate harmful stereotypes and further marginalise coloured people.
He condemned the normalisation of racist commentary and announced that the PA will lead mass marches to the podcast’s recording studio and the offices of broadcasters involved in airing the controversial episode.
“Enough is enough,” McKenzie declared, stressing that racism against any race group in South Africa is unacceptable.
