Johannesburg – Zimbabwean nationals Bellarmine Mugabe and Tobias Matonhodze are set to apply for bail in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday following their brief appearance last week, when the matter was postponed for further investigation.
They face charges of attempted murder, defeating the ends of justice, and possession of a firearm in connection with a shooting at the Hyde Park home of former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s son last month.
A 23-year-old man, believed to be an employee, was shot and hospitalised during the incident.
The firearm allegedly used in the shooting has not been recovered.
