Johannesburg – Seven people have died and several others have been injured following a collision between a Toyota Quantum minibus taxi and a bakkie along Comaro Road, between Tarentaal Avenue and Pieter Acryod Avenue, south of Johannesburg.
Emergency services and law enforcement officials are on the scene, attending to the injured and managing the aftermath of the crash.
Authorities have confirmed that all seven fatalities were occupants of the minibus taxi.

Comaro Road has been closed to traffic in both directions while officials investigate the incident.
“Motorists are advised to avoid Comaro Road and to use alternative routes, as vehicles are being diverted at Pieter Acryod Avenue and Soetdoring Avenue,” the JMPD said.
No further details on the cause of the crash have been released.
