Cape Town – A 38-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Mamelodi Magistrates Court on Wednesday, facing two counts of murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Baleseng and 22-year-old Tshiamo Moramaga early Sunday morning.
Their bodies were found by neighbours after being abandoned.
The women — identified as cousins Tshiamo Moramaga (22) and Baleseng Moramaga (21) — were found lying side by side with gunshot wounds to the head.
Locals made the discovery around 6 a.m. and alerted police.
Two young women were found dead on this morning ,the 26 of October 2025 at Mahube Valley Extension 17 in Mamelodi, Gauteng.

Their aunt, Maggie Moramaga, said the discovery left the family shattered: “I was shocked when people came and told me to come quickly and identify children presumed to be related to us. When I got there, it was them.”
She added, “We want the law to run its course because we want justice for these children so we can know how or why they were killed, because we don’t know.”
According to EWN, the suspect is alleged to have been romantically involved with Tshiamo, and following the killings, his nearby home was reportedly set on fire by angry community members.
He also faces an attempted murder charge for allegedly shooting a third victim, who is now recovering in hospital, the report said.
Investigators from the Gauteng Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit, together with Provincial Crime Intelligence, arrested the suspect on Monday at a petrol station in Pretoria after tracing his movements, The Citizen reported.
