Johannesburg – A murder case has been opened after a man was shot dead at the intersection of Van Buuren and Van der Linde roads in Bedfordview, Gauteng, on November 25.
Police say a silver-grey VW Polo with two occupants pulled up alongside the victim’s white Toyota Quest when the traffic light turned green, Bedfordview Edenvale News reported.
The rear passenger allegedly got out and fired multiple shots before the suspects fled.

Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene.
Officers recovered 18 spent cartridges and discovered a firearm with 15 live rounds inside the victim’s car.
Police are appealing for information from the public.
