Cape Town – Lwazi Thepa, the husband of missing police constable Keamogetswe Buys (30), has added his voice to the calls for help. The three officers were last seen early Thursday while traveling from Free State through Gauteng to Limpopo, driving a Volkswagen Polo, which also disappeared.
At a Bloemfontein media briefing, families expressed hope and urged the public to come forward with information, IOL reported.
“I believe the national commissioner and his team are doing everything to bring them back, alive. That is all I pray for. Just bring back my wife alive. Thank you,” the report quoted Thepa as saying.
National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola announced a R350,000 reward for information leading to the officers’ recovery, emphasising that police are vigorously following all leads.
The officers were last tracked at an Engen fuel station on the N1 in Gauteng before their phones and tracking devices were switched off.
