Johannesburg – Friends, family and colleagues gathered in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Friday, to honour slain media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock at his memorial service.
DJ Warras was shot dead in the Johannesburg CBD on Tuesday afternoon and was remembered as a passionate individual who cared deeply about people and South Africa.
TV and radio presenter Luthando “LootLove” Shosha described him as a friend, family man and colleague who touched many lives.
Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie also expressed devastation and anger over the killing, noting DJ Warras’ strong stance against the hijacking of buildings and calling for renewed efforts to reclaim them.
