Polokwane – Four suspects have been arrested for kidnapping and robbery following a rapid response by police in Westenburg, Limpopo.
According to the South African Police Service, the incident took place on Tuesday, 18 March 2026, along the R101 near the intersection of Nirvana and Lawton Road.
“It is reported that a 42-year-old male from Malamulele was driving… en route to Pretoria when he was allegedly forced to stop by two vehicles,” police said.
The suspects allegedly approached the victim pretending to be taxi patrollers.

“They then searched him and robbed him of an amount of R3000 as well as his motor vehicle keys,” police said.
The victim was then forced into the back of one of the vehicles and threatened with assault.
Police said they responded swiftly to the scene, rescuing the victim and apprehending the suspects. “Police responded promptly to the incident and successfully rescued the complainant, leading to the immediate arrest of the four suspects at the scene,” the statement read.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
