Cape Town — Two men were fatally shot in a brazen daylight attack in Thekwane South, near Kanyamazane, just outside Nelspruit on Thursday afternoon.
According to a statement by SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli, the victims, aged 45 and 51, were found dead at the scene around midday after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics confirmed their deaths upon arrival.
Police responded swiftly to reports of a shooting and discovered a white Toyota Yaris idling near the bodies.

“In close proximity to the bodies, a white Toyota Yaris was located, still idling. Preliminary investigation has established that the vehicle belongs to one of the two victims and it will form part of the ongoing investigation,” Mdhluli said.
No arrests have been made, and the motive for the killings remains unclear.
Detectives have opened a case of double murder and are actively working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident.
