KwaZulu-Natal – Eight people, including four children, have died following a severe collision on the N2 North near the Scottburgh off-ramp last night.
According to the KwaZulu-Natal Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), the fatal incident involved a truck and a bakkie. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash, which remains under investigation.
Emergency services responded to the scene, but all eight occupants were confirmed dead. Details regarding the identities of the victims have not been released.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the families affected by this tragic event,” the RTMC said in a statement.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution on the N2 while investigations continue.
