Cape Town – Emergency services responded to a suspected drive-by shooting on Monday morning after a white Hyundai i20 was found riddled with bullet holes near Argyle Road, between Umgeni Road and NMR Avenue in Durban.
One person was confirmed dead and another critically injured in the attack, which occurred at around 10:30 a.m.
According to ALS Paramedics, emergency teams arrived to find two men — believed to be in their 30s and 40s — suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
“Unfortunately, one has passed away on the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds. Second person has sustained critical injuries with also multiple gunshot wounds and has been transported to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that he required,” reported ALS Paramedics.
