Gqeberha – Two people escaped with only minor injuries after a Rockwell 500S light aircraft crash-landed near Thembalethu township in George on Saturday morning.
The plane, en route from Vereeniging to George Airport, reportedly suffered a double engine failure about 15 km from its destination and came down in a cemetery.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) has confirmed the incident and will release a preliminary report within 30 days.
Meanwhile, search efforts continue for 61-year-old pilot Andrew Blackwood-Murray, whose aircraft crashed into the sea off Durban a week ago during an airshow.
Despite advanced technology being used, there has still been no sign of him.
