Polokwane – Limpopo police arrested controversial musician Shebeshxt during an intelligence-driven operation in the upmarket suburb of Bendor, outside Polokwane, on Wednesday morning, 12 November 2025.
The 30-year-old rapper is accused of shooting at a motorist during a road rage incident on 19 October along Witklip Street in Ladanna, outside Polokwane.
The victim, a 34-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba confirmed the arrest was the result of a joint operation between the Provincial Investigation Unit and the Provincial Tracking Team, following the issuance of a warrant of arrest linked to a case of two counts of attempted murder registered at Westernburg SAPS.

“The arrest stems from an incident in the early hours of Sunday, 19 October, where the suspect allegedly fired several shots at another vehicle during a confrontation with the motorist,” Colonel Ledwaba said.
“Detectives successfully obtained a warrant of arrest on 11 November, which led to his apprehension on Wednesday morning.”
During the operation, police also seized Shebeshxt’s vehicles for forensic analysis as part of ongoing investigations.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe commended the investigation and operational teams for their thorough work.

“We are taking this matter very seriously, and a dedicated team was appointed to ensure that no stone is left unturned,” Lieutenant General Hadebe said. “The South African Police Service reiterates that no one is above the law, regardless of their social standing.”
Shebeshxt is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 13 November 2025, facing charges of attempted murder.
