Cape Town – A pensioner from the Western Cape has won over R13 million in the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot and plans to donate part of her winnings to charity.
According to Times Live, she bought the R40 ticket in Grassy Park using manual number selection and realised she had won while watching the April 23 draw on TV.
“I watched each of the winning numbers appear, and I could hardly believe what I was seeing. I was holding a ticket that matched every number. A ticket worth more than R13m. I’ve never won anything close to this in my life. It feels unreal,” the report quoted her as saying.
