Bullets fly outside cape town court: Woman, 25, gunned down in VW Polo

Cape Town – A 25-year-old woman was shot and killed outside the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court in Cape Town on Monday afternoon.

According to police, the incident occurred around midday as the woman was returning to her car, a red VW Polo, which was riddled with bullets.

She was found with gunshot wounds inside the vehicle and declared dead at the scene.

“The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel,” Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made.

A murder case has been opened.
