Polokwane – Limpopo police have launched a manhunt following the gruesome discovery of a man’s body in the bushes near the Limpopo Truck Park, close to the Beitbridge Port of Entry.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the murder was reported around 08:00 on Monday, 30 June 2025. Officers responded to the scene and found the lifeless body of an African male with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
“A projectile was recovered at the scene,” Ledwaba said. “The motive for the killing is currently unknown, and the suspect or suspects are still at large.”
The victim, believed to be a Zimbabwean national aged between 35 and 40, was found wearing white All Star sneakers, blue jeans, a black Hemisphere tracksuit top, and an RJ brown belt. A black Uzzi sporty jacket was also found lying next to his body.

Police are appealing to the public to assist in identifying the deceased or in providing any information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible.
“Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the investigating officer Captain Moloko Setjie at 082 565 7889, or nearest police station or call the Crime Stop number 08600 10111. Alternatively, information may be shared via the MySAPS App and can be provided anonymously,” Ledwaba said.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has condemned the act of violence and called on communities to support the police in their efforts to bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.
Police investigations are ongoing.
