Limpopo – Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for a group of armed suspects following a business robbery at a filling station in the Thohoyandou policing area in the early hours of Monday morning.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has ordered an immediate search for the suspects.
According to police, about ten armed men stormed the filling station at Ha Budeli at approximately 02:30.
“It is reported that at approximately 02:30, a group of about ten unknown male suspects, all armed with firearms, entered the Filling Station at Ha Budeli,” SAPS said.
Police said the suspects “ordered employees and customers to cooperate before proceeding to the store, where they forced open a safe and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.”
Authorities confirmed that no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
