Cape Town – On what would have been Shona Ferguson’s 51st birthday, his wife, Connie Ferguson, took to social media this week to honour the man who had been her rock, her partner, and her greatest love.
Shona was born on 30 April, 1974.
In a deeply emotional Instagram post, Connie shared a heartfelt tribute, reminiscing about their life together and the memories that continue to sustain her.
“My KING would have been 51 today! Happy Heavenly Birthday MY SKAT,” she wrote.
“Conversations about you always end up in laughter! You gave us such a good happy life! Thank you for the beautiful memories! They’ve really kept us going even in the most challenging circumstances. I LOVE YOU FOR ETERNITY!”

Shona, a beloved actor and producer, passed away on July 30, 2021, due to Covid-19-related complications.
His death left a void in the South African entertainment industry, where he had made a lasting impact through Ferguson Films, the production company he co-founded with Connie.
His work on hit shows like The Queen and Rockville cemented his legacy as a visionary storyteller.
