Cape Town – Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi and Zulu Makhathini turned heads at the Mall of Africa premiere of F1: The Movie, where their standout fashion choices drew just as much attention as the film itself.
While international celebrities arrived in classic red-carpet glamour, the duo embraced the spirit of Formula 1 with bold, high-concept outfits that celebrated racing culture while remaining unmistakably true to their unique style.

Zulu Makhathini channeled a modern-day racing antihero. He paired a crisp white turtleneck with a waistcoat emblazoned in F1 decals, avant-garde black leather pants, fingerless racing gloves, rugged boots, and a sleek racing cap — blending runway-ready polish with high-octane attitude.

Meanwhile, Scoop Ngwekazi took a nostalgic detour to the 1970s. He rocked earthy tones — delivering a gradient-toned salon shirt, wide-leg chocolate trousers, vintage-maroon trucker cap, and a patchwork leather jacket. He captioned the post on instagram; “LAST NIGHT I ATTENDED THE SCREENING OF “F1:THE MOVIE” AT WATERFALL MALL. LAPHO I AIN’T BEEN TO THE MOVIES IN EONS. I HAD AN AMAZING TIME. THE MOVIE IS A MUST SEE.”
