Cape Town – Springbok flanker Vincent Tshituka recently shared deeply personal images and video snippets from his wedding to Katlego Monare, revealing a side of the rugby star that few see on the field: vulnerable and moved to tears.
In a TikTok gallery titled “The Wedding Recap,” Tshituka is visibly emotional, his eyes welling up as he watches his bride walk down the aisle. In his own words, “a couple of friends asked me why I cried. Simply put, I was overwhelmed by emotion. This was simply the biggest moment of my life.”
He went on to describe what he was feeling that day: “Overwhelmed by the presence of God, overwhelmed by the responsibility I was about to take on, overwhelmed by all the support of loved ones, overwhelmed by grace, overwhelmed by seeing the most beautiful human being that I get to call mine walk down the aisle for me!”
Tshituka also reflected on the weather — when rain fell during their ceremony, he saw it as a divine sign. He described the raindrops as God’s “nod of approval” for their big day.

The couple’s journey has been shared openly on social media. The two first connected back in 2022 via a DM from Tshituka, where he boldly expressed his intentions. Katlego playfully replied: “I’ll come back to this in a couple of years to see.”
Their wedding, held on 26 July 2025, wasn’t just a romantic milestone — it carried cultural significance. The pair celebrated their lobola negotiations in a ceremony that blended Katlego’s South African roots with Tshituka’s Congolese heritage.
Their joint Instagram post after the wedding summed it up simply: “Sneak peek to Our Forever ♾️ Thank you to everybody that celebrated with us and for all the well wishes.
