Cape Town – Grammy award-winning DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, recently celebrated his 50th birthday, with his girlfriend Victoria Gonzalez taking to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to the internationally acclaimed producer.
The DJ turned 50 on 11 March and the milestone was marked by a touching Instagram post from Gonzalez, a 29-year-old model. In the message, she expressed her affection for the musician while sharing photos of the couple together.
“Happy birthday to my love and my best friend. My favourite part of life is watching you sleep,” Gonzalez wrote in the post.
Black Coffee responded warmly to the tribute, thanking his partner in the comment section. “My love, thank you so much, for everything,” he replied.

The DJ’s milestone birthday comes months after the conclusion of his lengthy divorce from actress Enhle Mbali. The couple’s marriage ended following a legal battle that lasted several years, with the divorce finalised in October 2025.
Black Coffee and Mbali, who married in a customary ceremony in 2011, share two children together. Their relationship attracted significant public attention after their separation in 2019.
He his, widely recognised for his influence in global house music, has built an international career spanning decades, earning multiple awards including a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
