Cape Town – Maskandi superstar Khuzani Nkosikhona Innocent Mpungose — known simply as Khuzani — has officially announced he will say “I do” on 15 December 2025 in his hometown of Nkandla, KwaZulu‑Natal.
The announcement, made via his Facebook page, invites fans to a Zulu traditional wedding-themed celebration.
According to The Citizen, the “Ijele” hitmaker has been dating his future wife for about ten years,he has opted not to reveal her identity publicly, saying: “For now, I won’t give details about the lady I’m going to marry … because I respect her and her family”.
In interviews with Daily Sun and covered in other outlets, the 35‑year‑old singer confirmed that he intends for the ceremony to include more than one wife, though he did not specify how many,“I will marry more than one wife, but will not mention how many. When a man is building homes, he sees the need to marry more wives”
Khuzani also shared poignant personal sentiments about his late grandmother, Gogo Cagwe Mpungose, who had encouraged him to wed. She passed away in December 2024. He expressed his grief and belief that she will be present in spirit.
“Although gogo is not with us physically, she will witness my wedding where she is. She is not dead, but her soul is separated from her mortal being. She is with us spiritually and is happy because her wish will finally be fulfilled”
Fans can expect a vibrant traditional Zulu ceremony infused with his signature maskandi style—complete with star-studded guests including amakhosi (chiefs), musicians, and members of the Blue Nation fanbase.
