Cape Town – Sweet Guluva, the winner of Big Brother Mzansi Season 5, is taking his burgeoning entertainment career in a bold new direction by stepping into the world of scripted drama.
Since winning the R2 million prize and the nation’s affection in March, he’s steadily crafted his public trajectory. Guluva’s brand partnerships now include big names like Mzansi Magic, Dove, Lotto Star, and MTN Group, and his debut single with DJ Zinhle signals his musical ambitions.
In an interview with TimesLIVE, he credited his appeal to remaining authentic.“I’ve stayed original throughout my journey… I am a traditional man and I know the All Gold brand is about heritage, quality and authenticity — values I live by.”

Although the detailed plot or scope of the project has not yet been publicly released, casting details have begun to emerge. According to industry talent profiling, he’s listed for a production titled “Black Gold” under the BET banner—suggesting a credible entry into dramatic acting.
Reflecting on his journey, Sweet Guluva once told News24 that acting has always been an ambition of his.“My intention was to break into the industry … I just wanted a hole to squeeze myself in and now that I’m in, I’m going to seize the opportunity.”
