Cape Town – National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza has confirmed that Parliament will provide a written breakdown of the costs involved in hosting two recent budget speeches by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana.
This follows a request from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) for a cost analysis.

Parliament clarified that its expenses covered the necessary facilities for the sessions, while the Department of Public Works was responsible for the venue, the Niewmeester Dome.
The EFF has also called on this department to provide its own cost report.
However, according to SABC News, ANC Chief Whip Mdumiseni Ntuli criticised the discussion, saying some facts about the previous budget sittings were being distorted and defended the legitimacy of the February 12 sitting.
