Cape Town — Air France has extended its seasonal Paris–Cape Town route until 3 May 2026, citing overwhelming demand.
Originally planned to conclude in March 2026, the daily service has gained popularity among both South African travellers bound for Europe and international visitors to Cape Town, IOL reported.
The flight schedule remains:
AF0871 departs Cape Town each morning at 08:50 and arrives in Paris at 19:20
AF0890 departs Paris at 18:30 and lands in Cape Town at 06:45 the following morning
According to The South African, the extension reinforces Air France’s faith in South Africa’s tourism sector and its commitment to stronger connectivity.
Wilson Tauro, Country Manager Southern Africa at Air France–KLM, remarked: “Cape Town remains one of the most inspiring destinations in our network, and we are thrilled to see such strong demand for our seasonal Paris–Cape Town route.
“This extension not only reflects the continued appetite for travel between Cape Town and Europe but also reinforces Air France’s commitment to connecting South Africans to the world with style, comfort, and efficiency. We are thrilled to offer our customers a longer window to experience this highly seasonal popular route.”
The extension comes as Cape Town continues to attract travellers escaping colder northern-hemisphere winters, drawn by its sunshine, beaches, and rich cultural appeal.
