Cape Town – Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has confirmed that operations at Cape Town International Airport continue as normal following a fuel leak incident involving an aircraft on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred on the airside at around 11am and was quickly contained by airport response teams, with the area secured according to standard safety procedures.
No injuries or fatalities were reported.

ACSA said the situation was promptly addressed and reassured passengers that airport operations were not affected.
“The incident was immediately addressed by airport response teams, and the area was secured in accordance with standard airside safety procedures. Operations at the airport remain unaffected,” it said.
ACSA added that passenger safety remains “uncompromised” and encouraged travellers to check the ACSA mobile app for the latest flight updates.
