Cape Town – Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus has given fans a glimpse of his festive season downtime with a light-hearted video showing him dancing energetically to the popular South African party song “Sister Bethina.”
The clip, shared on his Instagram account, shows Rassie letting loose during his December break, embracing the rhythm and atmosphere of the season.
He is seen dancing with friends and enjoying himself, even incorporating a traditional Zulu war dance into his moves as “Sister Bethina”—a track widely played at Springbok matches following the national anthem—blasts in the background.

In 2022, the Springbok mastermind grabbed attention after playfully mocking a suspension handed down by World Rugby, which followed his widely criticised outburst over alleged referee bias after a Test loss to the British and Irish Lions.
At the time, Erasmus shared a video of himself dancing to Eminem’s Without Me, a song famously marked by the line, “Guess who’s back.” He accompanied the clip with the caption: “It’s so lekka to be back at the stadiums!”
Sharing the dance footage, Erasmus joked: “Time to get back at my twins!! Apparently they can embarrass me anytime but parents not! Remember I am white and have no rhythm, but hell I want to make the Gwijo Squad.”
