Cape Town – Rachel Kolisi, estranged wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, shared an emotional TikTok video documenting the first time her children travelled alone to visit their father following the couple’s separation in October 2024 after eight years of marriage.
In the video, Rachel opens up about the emotional difficulty of packing for her kids and dealing with separation anxiety, including experiencing her second anxiety attack.
“In the process of getting divorced, today was the first time my kids flew to see their dad without me. It was hard,” she posted.

“It’s only a few days, so packing was light. Never going to feel normal packing for my kids to leave. I braid my daughter’s hair so it doesn’t need to be brushed while she’s away … Sasha Fierce, of course, went with the longest braids she could find 738 hours at the salon later,” she laughed.
She also revealed how she coped by inviting her grandmother on a trip to avoid being alone.
