Limpopo – Makhadzi has returned to the stage after a 10-week performance break following a car accident in late December 2025.
She made her comeback as a headliner at the South African National Defence Force Armed Forces Day celebrations held in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, on 21 February.
In a post-performance message, she thanked the SANDF for hosting the event in her hometown and bringing people together.
“Yesterday it was my first day at work .. all thanks to @sa_national_defense_force for bringing my people together, in a stadium that I have been dreaming of filling up… 🔥😭. Thank you to all my fans for supporting me,” she wrote on Instagram.
The singer had been recovering from injuries sustained in the accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg and later underwent physiotherapy after hospital discharge.
Doctors cleared her to return to work after confirming her recovery progress.
Makhadzi also expressed gratitude to medical staff who treated her during rehabilitation, saying she was thankful for their care and support during her healing journey.
