“She was a pioneer of performance — a woman whose vibrant spirit, sharp wit, and undeniable presence brought life to every role she played.”
Her remarkable body of work spanned major productions on platforms such as SABC, eTV, Netflix, and MultiChoice — leaving a lasting impact on both local and international audiences.
Some of her standout work included roles in Muvhango, Ga Re Dumele — where she won the SAFTA for Best Actress in a TV Comedy in 2012 for her portrayal of Josephine Ratau — and the Netflix film Love, Sex and 30 Candles, to name a few.
“Whether through laughter or heartfelt storytelling, Meme had a rare gift: she made us feel” expressed Eye Media Artists.
Her management team, Eye Media Artists, expressed their heartfelt support in a statement, saying:
“As her management, Eye Media Artists stands with her family during this painful time.
We kindly ask that the public give them the space, love, and time they need to grieve and process this unimaginable loss.”
The agency closed off the statement with a touching tribute:
“Rest in eternal peace, Meme Ditshego. Your legacy will live on in the laughter, tears, and stories you leave behind.”
