Cape Town – Two-time Rugby World Cup champion Handré Pollard and his wife, Marise Pollard, welcomed their newest addition to the Springbok family, a baby girl named Isabella Tanya Pollard, on 20 October 2025.
“And just like that our world has changed again 💕 Isabella Tanya Pollard, you are so loved x,” wrote Marise Pollard on Instagram.

The couple first shared the news on 29 April, revealing baby scan images and announcing that their one-year-old son, Hunter Pollard, would soon become a big brother to a baby sister.
Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt congratulated Handré and Marise Pollard on the newest addition to their family. As part of the hospital’s tradition, every new father raises a flag representing their newborn’s gender outside the facility.
Handré proudly raised a pink flag for his daughter — at the very same hospital where Marise Pollard was born.
