Cape Town – The Basadi in Music Awards have announced that Dr Rebecca Malope will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s ceremony.
In an Instagram post, the organisers revealed that the 4th annual awards will take place on August 2 at the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg, where they will honour the gospel legend for her remarkable contribution to music.

The second night will host the main awards ceremony, spotlighting and commemorating the women who are making waves in the South African music scene.
