Private security and members of the South African Police Service were called to the scene as a precaution. However, no arrests were made. Hlophe said the matter was resolved without further incident, adding that the family returned home together.
“Despite the distressing moment, we spent Christmas together peacefully and joyfully as a family,” he said.
The radio host has since confirmed that the issue has been handed over to his legal representatives.
According to reports, Hlophe and his wife have chosen to deal with the matter privately and have appealed for respect and space during this period.
“We remain committed to handling our personal matters with dignity and care for our family,” he said.
