Cape Town – Two-time Springbok Rugby World Cup champion Handré Pollard and his wife, Marise, have announced that they are expecting their second child.
The couple shared the joyful news in a joint Instagram post, featuring a heartwarming family video filmed on the plains of Cape Town. In the video, their son Hunter wears a sweater with the word “Brother” emblazoned on the front, subtly revealing the exciting news.
The family is seen holding ultrasound scans, and Marise’s growing baby bump is clearly visible. In the caption, Marise wrote:
“Our family is growing! Hunter is going to be a big brother and we are beyond excited, God is so good. Our little girl will join us end of October.”

The announcement comes just a week after the couple celebrated Hunter’s first birthday with friends at their home.
“We got to celebrate Hunter’s first & Milan’s 2nd birthday together yesterday with our friends on this side of the world. We are beyond grateful for you guys and feel so blessed to have each and everyone of you in our lives,” they shared in a previous post.
Following the announcement, the couple received a flood of congratulatory messages from teammates, family, and friends.
