Pretoria – Former Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) head Advocate Andrea Johnson and dismissed Crime Intelligence deputy head Feroz Khan have been granted bail of R10,000 each following their appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Friday afternoon.
The pair were arrested on Friday morning and appeared in court later in the day.
Their case was postponed to February 2027 for further investigation.

Johnson and Khan face charges linked to allegations surrounding Khan’s alleged assault of a female police brigadier in 2018.
It is alleged that Johnson shared information from the investigation into Khan with him, potentially giving him an advantage in preparing his response to the allegations.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago confirmed that the pair face charges of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and defeating the ends of justice.
Johnson also faces a separate charge under the NPA Act.
“Those charges are very serious, even though they are in Schedule One,” Kganyago said.

He explained that the case had been postponed because police investigations were ongoing. He also warned that further evidence could lead to additional people being charged.
“If evidence emerges and there are other people that are involved, they might be added on this matter,” he said.
Both accused remain presumed innocent until proven guilty.
