Cape Town – Expresso presenter Carissa Cupido and her husband, Muma Khumalo, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Zuri-Rose Nandi Khumalo.
Cupido shared the happy news on Instagram, posting photos of their newborn daughter as well as a picture of herself and Khumalo holding their baby.
“Hello Zuri-Rose Nandi Khumalo,” she wrote.
“22 September 2026 will always mark our before and after. The most beautiful girl in the world. Thank you, God, for trusting us with this gift.”
The couple welcomed their daughter just over three months after announcing that they were expecting their first child.

Cupido and Khumalo revealed the pregnancy in June with a series of photographs from their maternity shoot.
“1+1=3. Baby K is on the way and SO so deeply loved already. Mom and Dad can’t wait to meet you, little one,” they wrote at the time.
The couple had kept the pregnancy private for several months before deciding to share the news publicly.
In a joint statement shared with TshisaLIVE, they said they had spent months quietly enjoying the pregnancy before opening up about the experience.
“For months, we have quietly treasured this sacred season,” they said.
They described the pregnancy as a reflection of their commitment, faith and love for each other, and said welcoming their daughter was an answered prayer.
The couple are now beginning a new chapter as parents, with Cupido celebrating their daughter’s arrival as a moment that has changed their lives forever.
