Cape Town – Gogo Maweni has marked her 40th birthday by embracing a major new chapter in her life, including a cosmetic procedure as part of her physical transformation.
The reality TV personality documented her recovery on social media, sharing glimpses of the procedure and thanking her husband for standing by her side.
Maweni has previously undergone significant weight loss, and the latest procedure forms part of what she describes as her ongoing transformation.
Although she appeared to be experiencing some discomfort while recovering, Maweni remained focused on celebrating the milestone and looking ahead to the next chapter of her life.

In a birthday message, she reflected on the lessons, challenges and achievements that shaped her first four decades.
“40 is not the end of anything. It is the beginning of a more powerful, intentional, luxurious, and beautiful era,” she wrote.
Maweni also credited her plastic surgeon for the work and said she plans to share photos of her results once she has fully healed.
She also paid tribute to her husband, Vela Bahleke, describing him as her “pillar of strength” and thanking him for his continued support.
For Maweni, turning 40 appears to be about more than a birthday it is a celebration of personal growth, confidence and choosing herself as she enters a new stage of her life.
