Cape Town – Watch as President Cyril Ramaphosa faces questions from MPs in the National Assembly on Tuesday, with the session focusing on South Africa’s standing as a Pan-African voice, undocumented migration and municipal service delivery.
Ramaphosa is expected to explain what his administration is doing to restore South Africa’s credibility on the continent following protests against undocumented foreign nationals, which resulted in thousands of people voluntarily returning to their home countries.
MPs are also expected to question the president about basic service delivery and efforts to strengthen municipalities, with the issue particularly relevant ahead of the 4 November 2026 local government elections.
The questioning comes amid heightened political scrutiny of Ramaphosa, including ongoing parliamentary impeachment proceedings and his recent objection to the evidence leader proposed by Parliament’s Impeachment Committee.
