Durban – Three armed suspects robbed a tuck shop on school premises in Trenance Park, KwaZulu-Natal, on Tuesday after firing two shots during the incident, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) said.
RUSA said it received multiple calls for assistance and dispatched reaction officers, who arrived at the scene at about 14:07.
According to the statement, three suspects armed with pistols confronted two employees at the tuck shop before stealing two cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.
“The robbers fired two shots during the incident,” RUSA said.
Two spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene, the organisation said.
The suspects fled in a white Toyota Tazz with an unknown registration number and drove towards Inanda.
No injuries were reported.
Police were not immediately available to provide further information on the incident or confirm whether any arrests had been made.
