Cape Town – Political firebrand and Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams is set to appear before the Madlanga Commission on 11 August following allegations relating to leaked Crime Intelligence documents, state secrets and claims of corruption that have come under public scrutiny.
The appearance was confirmed on Friday by party spokesperson Jeremy Michaels, who said Adams had been formally served with a Rule 3 notice compelling him to testify before the commission.
Adams’ testimony follows explosive claims made before the commission by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, who alleged that the National Coloured Congress leader had obtained and circulated sensitive Crime Intelligence documents.

Michaels said Adams had initially been served with the Rule 3 notice on 3 October 2025 and that there had since been ongoing correspondence between Adams and the commission’s legal team.
“I can confirm that Mr Adams, who of course is a Member of Parliament and leader of the National Coloured Congress, was first served with a Rule 3 notice on the 3rd of October 2025 last year. And there’s been correspondence back and forth between Mr Adams and our legal team.
“I can now confirm that he will indeed appear before the Commission on the 11th of August, which is next Tuesday. Not the coming Tuesday, the next Tuesday,” Michaels said.
